Music Ministry

The music program at Emmanuel provides many opportunities for participation and we welcome anyone who feels called to praise God through music.

Directors of Music

We are blessed at Emmanuel to have two Directors of Music.  Each Director brings her own talents, tastes, and passions for music and liturgy to our worship experience.  Combined, they bring a breadth of praise through music that speaks to every worship music taste, from traditional to contemporary.

The choir sings approximately twice per month. You can choose the service at which you’d like to sing and which rehearsal you’d like to attend.

Instrumentalists

We welcome anyone who is interested in playing a music instrument.  You may wish to play individually or in a small group or join the other instruments in the Liturgy during special worship services.

Worship and Music Team

The Worship and Music Team assists the Pastor and Director of Music in leading this congregation in accomplishing its worship function and ensures that worship services are conducted regularly and in accordance with the liturgy of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. It is in these services that we come to worship and praise God and form faith in both adults and children. We experience the Word of God, read, preached, and sung by the assembly. This team also procures and cares for the musical instruments, supplies and hymnals and recruits and trains members for participation in the worship services as lay assistants, acolytes, choir members, and ushers.
