The Youth Ministry Team serves our youth by providing educational opportunities, service projects and fun.
We have several youth groups:
- Christ’s Kids- CKs for children ages 1st-5th grade. The youth ministry team sponsors several large events for CKs throughout the year such as a Valentines Day Party, an Easter Egg Hunt, and a fall party.
- AIM for youth in 4 and 5th grades. This group meets once per month for fellowship and fun.
- JOYE for youth grades 6th through 8th. This group also meets monthly for various activities.
- LYFE for youth grades 9- 12th. Our LYFE members attended the last several National Lutheran Gatherings convention and have held numerous fund raisers (yard sales, auctions, spaghetti dinners, and car washes) to fund their trips. The youth have been involved in several service projects, including planning and serving dinners at the JCOC Shelter feeding, helping with the Eastern Shore chapter of Habitat for Humanity, participating in the 30-hour Famine, and collecting donations for the Souper Bowl of Caring as well as leading worship services at Emmanuel.
